International Doctoral Seminar (IDS) project idea is strongly supported by the leaders of the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava and Faculty of Management and Economics, Tomas Bata University in Zlín. Both, long tradition of the doctoral seminars and search for the opportunities for the future development, led to the idea of creation of a successful IDS project proposal in the call Interreg V-A SK-CZ SK/FMP/11b.
Partnering with the organization of IDS allows us to build on our experience, find the best partners for multidisciplinary research topics and create an interesting programme for the attendees. The program committee of the IDS is formed by professional researchers from the TBU Zlín and STU Bratislava, as well as by other well-known scientists from various research institutions.
IDS is offering PhD students not only the opportunity to present their research papers but also to develop, grow and find new research partners for future research cooperation. In addition, the covering of a broader range of topics enables IDS to attract more international students, bring more research topics together and provide a platform for sharing the experience.
We are honoured to host IDS in the Slovak Republic, and we would be pleased to welcome PhD students from partner Universities.
